ACLS or PALS, Full-cert or Re-certing, or blended (below), requires a current AHA BLS certification to take. And all recerts must present a current AHA certificaTion for that discipline. AHA does not accept Red Cross to recertify with for example.
ALL ACLS and PALS are to be completed in-person. The full and recerting courses require a written test to be done with the instructor. Heartcode skills you will take the written test with AHA, then see us for a in person skills check.
Those wanting to be trained in ACLS or PALS must also do the free ACLS or PALS pre-work self-assessment and the corresponding videos. If you should have questions about times of training please contact us.
this link takes you to a third party source that created a video on how to get an account with aha and do the free prework with videos (note, you must do the Heartcode version if you are attempting a heartcode skills eval):

We do them Monday or Wednesday, but can do other times if needed.
Here are the links to the free training. It must be finished and the final cert emailed, along with other required documentation like certifications, prior to your class time with us.

Heartcode blendid or Hybrid option. Another option for ACLS and PALS training is the Heartcode from American Heart Association. (If you have current AHA certs, consider doing a renewal instead). If this is your first ever course for ACLS or PALS, we recommend a full-certifcation process. Heartcode is expensive because you pay AHA over $140, then us to do the final in-person check off. While it is expensive, it offers some perks like the the eBook, CE credit to put to your license, and two-year subscription with AHA to review daily. The Heartcode curriculum negates the need to do the free pre-work the full and recerting option need. If you are interested in pursuing this venue, contact us for more information.
